USTA Men's & Women's Combo Captains Meeting

Tuesday, August 5 at 6:00 p.m. at East Ridge Country Club  

Team Registration is August 1-24 with a minimum of "6" players appropriately rated to play a match.  Play begins September 2.  If you are unable to attend the meeting please send a representative.

2014 Combo Double Days of Play

18+, 40+, 55+ Men’s and Women’s Adult Divisions

MONDAY          18+ Levels: 5.5 & 8.5     40+ Levels:    6.5

TUESDAY         18+ Levels: 6.5 & 9.5     40+ Levels:    7.5

THURSDAY       18+ Levels: 5.0 & 7.5     40+ Levels:    5.5, 8.5

SATURDAY/SUNDAY        55+ (Levels 6.5, 7.5, 8.5)

(Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoons)

(Each level may select a different “day-of-play” if all captains agree)

Tri-Level League

All local Tri-Level matches must be completed by August 1st.  The state tournament will be held in Baton Rouge Aug 15-17.  State tournament registration deadline for teams winning local league is Monday, August 4th.  A minimum of 6 players must be registered 

Fall Flex Singles League 

Registration opens on August 1st for Fall Flex League

Go to www.ustaflexleagues.com for information and to register

Cost:   $25.00 for USTA members and $35 for non-USTA members

· You and your opponent agree on the day and time

· Minimum five matches (varies according to number of players in your level and whether local playoffs are needed for more than one flight)

· Players can choose home court; you can play on ANY tennis court

· Players have the entire season to finish all matches

· Awards for local champions

SBCS Championship Series

 The SBCS Masters Tournament is June 27 - 28, 2014, at Bossier Tennis Center.

The event is open to players who played in a minimum of two tournaments in the same division.  Your partner can be any other player who has also played a minimum of two tournaments in the same division, even if you have not played together.

Mixed League 

A new, exciting option being researched for this summer is a  "Mixed-Day League"  for 40+ and 55+. Contact your facility pro, gather players, and let's see if we can add to the Mixed Doubles Program with additional opportunity for playing tennis! Let Karen know your intent to organize a team to verify merit of this League. 

Nights of Play:  Monday:  8.0/18+, 6.0/40+

Tuesday:  6.0 & 9.0/18+, 8.0/40+

Thursday:  7.0/18+, 9.0/40+

Saturday:  7.0/40+

Sunday:  55+ All Levels

Fun, Friends & Fitness - Summer 2014

Would you like to learn to play tennis?  Do you know someone that is interested in learning to play tennis?

Fun, Friends & Fitness is a great program.  The program is a five-week program at various tennis facilities in Shreveport and Bossier.  At the end of the program, players will play a tournament.  The cost is $45.  The first session is Saturday, June 21st, 10 AM at Querbes. 


Tennis Apprentice

Lessons for beginning/returning adults will start on June 23rd at 7 pm at Bossier Tennis Center.
